I WILL ALLOW THE HOLY SPIRIT TO TAKE OVER MY EATING HABITS

Following an accident which stopped my walking and running I slowly began to put on weight.

God knows the desires of our hearts.

A friend who has always battled with over eating recently began a life commitment to eating properly. She explained, it is not a diet because, diets fail.

I have begun to read this book and am very impressed. So, I would like to share it with you.

I am giving a sneek preview so you can make your own evalutation.
After all.....Life is about choices.

"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15.

OPI Hot & Spicy Kung Pao Chicken

When OPI's Hong Kong collection came out I decided to just get 3 of them to start with. Jade and Suzi were a given, but I debated between Dim Sum Plum and Hot & Spicy for hours, days even! Though I new DSP would look good with my cool-toned skin, in the end Hot & Spicy won out for being a bit more original and for the forecast of coral being very in for Spring. And while I like the shrimpy-orangey-coraly color, I really struggled with the application on this. It was streaky and I got some cuticle drag, but with 3 carefully applied coats it became even. If you were on the fence with this one, I'd recommend searching for a different coral, especially since this color looks really bad with warm toned people (my mom swatched it and HATED it).

While my quest for coral will continue, I'll put it aside for tonight to show you the real reason why I tried this polish today. I'm in charge of stir fry night and picked up this seasoning packet at the store. I lol'ed when I put it in the cart. Only you guys would understand why :D

DEAR GOD

Dear God,
I woke up feeling wonderful this morning. It was so fresh and cool with the windows open and a lovely breeze drifting over my bed.
The overhead fan hummed contentedly encouraging a feeling of peace to permiate the room. I just lay there,  savouring You and the moment.

Up and off to exercises, followed by a Cappicino lazily enjoyed while watching people rushing past the Cafe`.

"We are going to mow the lawn," I told my little dog Monty after arriving back home.

It was so good Lord. Cloudy and not too hot. With the rain unsure whether to pelt down or wait for me to finish. You had it under control, there was no need for concern.....thank you.

Did I appreciate that cool shower later! And after reasuring Monty I'd be gone for a while I took off to a party at Frances and Chris's home.

You know how lovely they are, a genuine caring couple, I always enjoy their Christian hospitality. We talked and shared together after the party.
Later Chris served his wonderful Malaysian chichen curry and even gave me more to take home.

I just want to praise and thank you for a wonderful day and good friends.
PROVERBS 17:17 "A friend loves at all times."

I know you caught me cheatin'...

Dear Seche Vite,

I know that you know about last night. And I know that you know it was terrible. It was a moment of weakness, I thought there might be something better out there, but I was wrong... so wrong. China Glaze Fast Forward and I are done. Plus their brush was much smaller, and you know size matters... Please accept my apology, because I will never leave you again.

Last night I tried out New York Summer Hot Sky Blue. And it is HOT, much like the others with the same name. It's everything I wanted Dating a Royal to be, a true blue jelly. 3 coats and it was squishy-jelly-love. But look at what Fast Forward did! Weird bubble looking things, hardly any shine, still dentable HOURS later and I woke up with sheet marks, which I've NEVER had before! Ick.

Here's some awesome pictures to balance out the bad top coat! I picked up Sinful Green Ocean today, my Walgreen's had appx 1 million on display. It's my first flaky and so pretty! This quick swatch picture does not do it justice, I see everything from green to purple in the flakes.

And the rest of my new NYS polishes. I need to order more soon!

JESUS The Greatest Teacher.

It's not who you are in the world that matters, it's who you are in Christ.

A well know public identity, Nicodemus called to see Jesus one night.

He was a well educated man and one of authority.
Like many such persons he could have considered he knew it all!
He was a Sanhedrin! From the highest legal and judicial body of the Jews, so he was, the Cre`me de la crem.
Yet, he esteemed Jesus, by calling him Rabbi (teacher).
He also acknowledged Jesus came from God.

Recently I received an email from an unsaved friend. Everything in this email brought out some of the worst events mentioned in the Old Testiment......
It was signed by a Professor from some University?

I was astounded!  The reason being...if a Universiy Professor wrote such a letter, he would not have taken only one section of the Bible, and write about it with authority. Firstly, he'd RESEARCH  all the other books of the Bible before trying to reach a conclusion. Next, he'd have written in the third person, not the first.

Back to Nicodemus...   As a scholar he wanted to know more. He wanted to RESEARCH and comprehend this Rabbi Jesus. He wanted to acknowledged his own belief, that Jesus came from God.   He humbled himself ... and became the student. He wanted to understand.........

Surprisingly,  people wish to understand more about God yet don't go to him personally.

I would advise anyone..... If you don't own a Bible, buy one! If you don't like reading, buy a Bible D.V.D.
Begin with Genesis and the Creation, then go on and read the New Testament. (The new Will of God). When you feel you understand this (somewhat), then, read God's Old Will.
The Old Testament (Old Will)....brings into effect the new....
And with the new, you will learn... As the wise Nicodemus.
The Truth That Sets You Free.

Worst picture ever of an AWESOME purple

This picture sucks. It's not true to what I'm wearing at all. Not even close. I tried out my new NYS Hot Purple today, and it is LOVE. So. Much. LOVE. It's the most perfect jelly purple ever. With 4 coats, in any normal light, I got perfect coverage with a squishy-looking jelly finish. But in the brightest sunshine ever that's bouncing off fresh snow with the flash of my camera, it shows VNL. No idea why, since I don't see it just looking at my nails. And the color looks kind of blurple-y here, but it's pure purple in person. It's bright and it has a neon-quality to it but it's not a neon.

I've never tried NYS before but it applied really well, and it's a friggin' bargain of a polish! Only $1.60 on TD! I paid a little more since I ordered from a website that still had Amaranth* in stock, but the 5 polishes I got are amazing. While I only have one Nfu Oh, I think the colors and finishes are on par with them on the awesome scale.

*O.M.G. If you even slightly want Amaranth, order it. It's hot. I'm going to rock it for St. Patty's day! I got mine from spabeautysupply.com

Also this is the last day to enter my Who Loves Purple? giveway! As you can see, I love it today :D

Gods Good Health

Much Good Health is Automatic:  Some may disagree, however here are some of my tips for living a healthier lifestyle.

1. Fresh Air (containes 21% oxygen (U.S.) otherwise known as O2.  Or O3 near the ocean.)
Too many of us live continually in Airconditioned comfort. When weather permits, open windows and door and breath that good fresh air. O2 feeds your cells. Without that food cells die and so do you!  O2 is something you cannot live long without...so enjoy the benefit of fresh air.
Breath properly: Watch a baby sleeping and you will see a good breather. As we age we become lazy taking the O2 into our upper respiratory tract. So become aware of the value of fresh air.

2. Water. I spoke on this previously. Drinking water cleans your insides. Just think! When you wash your car or your house...you use water. Not Coco Cola, Tea, Coffee or similar. By all means drink these also if you desire....Just don't omit a few glasses of,  just water.

3. Eat Live Foods. Cancer killing proven fact by Dr Stepehen Mak (BSF Course).  Fresh fruit needs to be eaten on an empty stomach...To...Detox your system and provide more life enriching energy for weight loss and activities. Fruit eaten after meals ferments and goes bad.   Vegtable are another live food necessary for good health. Eat raw, juiced or steamed......BUT...leave the skin on! This is where the most nutrients are. I am not against meat or dairy products..... However, eat well.

4. Laugh.  Wonderful medicine. Lifts brain endorphins alleviating mood swings and depression.
Clears the lungs and assists in lung'/ heart function.

5. Exercise. Swimming (passive)  is the best as it prevents wear and tear on ankles, knees and hips.
Also useful for those with any mobility problems.
Or walk 20 minutes 3 times per week at least. And when you do, meditate!
Thank God for all you have. Praise Him in the nature you see all around. The birds singing, the flowers blooming, a floating butterfly a frillneck lizard racing by. There is so much to see and be thankful for. This allows time to rest and refreshen your spirit with all Gods created beauty.

PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSING FLOW......

My daughter Daniella sharing the love at the beach.

Here Today... Arago(r)n Tomorrow

I know this is the Espana collection, not the Lord of the Rings collection, but I still add the 'r' every time I say the name. A girl can dream, right? I put this on Saturday, took pictures, and took it off just this morning, the entire 48 swearing up and down that it was a green cream. Much to my surprise, my camera, which can't pick up an orange and adds too much blue to purple, found the hidden shimmer! Love!

Application was OPI standard, but I was very disappointed that it took 3 coats to be opaque. I'm one of those habitual 2 coaters and adding the extra 90 seconds it takes to coat all 10 fingers just ticks me off, especially from an OPI cream. And then I got chips the next day. What's the deal, man? I put in all that extra time for CHIPS?! Hellz no.

Science: Chinese New Year Shining Pennies

One of the traditions during the Chinese New Year celebration is to give children red envelopes containing brand new money.Make pennies shine like new again with this science activity. You can make this into a science experiment by trying four different ways to shine the pennies and see which one works best. Ask the children what they think will happen.Encourage them to observe and describe what

The Meaning of a Name

Oh how important it is, to name a child correctly. God tells us our words are important!

In Matthew 12:36, We are told, not to let our words be careless.

A nickname can be careless and very harmful!

To those of us who love God, we want to build up another by our words! Not tear them down.
Yes a child may accept a nickname, even laugh at it because they know naught else to do.
However, the name caller will be held accountable before God.

Look at the Bible.........
See how God changed a persons name to change the character of  a person. And to perhaps change the direction of that persons life.

Jacob was wrestled with all night, and his name changed.
From Jacob meaning "Supplanter or Deceiver" He became Israel meaning "Having Power With God."

Why did God do this??
Because...Names are important !!!.........

My own 4 childrens names  and meanings:
"Euphemia" (43yrs) Spoken well of  (yes she is)
"Hope"         Trust, Faith (yes she has)

"Peter"         (41yrs) Rock  (Yes, he is very dependable)
"Anthony"   Worthy of Praise (Yes, he is)

"Daniella"   (37) God is my judge (God convicts her)
"Marguerite"  A pearl (She is a rare person)

"Pasquale"  (30) Born at Easter (True believer)
"Joel" The Lord Is God  (He named his own son Izaiah, meaning Salvation of God)

I was unable to name 3 of my childrens first names. But God took care of this for me.

Isaiah 26:3. "I will keep in perfect peace, he who's mind is stayed in thee."

The boy Samuel. Name meaning "Gods Word." And that's what he became.

Week in Review for February 15 - 20, 2010

WEEK 19 in reviewThis week we started our two week study on China as part of our Chinese New Year theme. We learned many things that we did not know about the Giant Panda who lives in Asia, studied China's unique musical instruments that have been around for thousands of years, and we found out how families in China celebrated Chinese New Year! For those who do not know: My sons are nicknamed "

Chinese Musical Instruments: Gu-qin and Guzheng

This week we are learning about China as part of our Chinese New Year theme. We are learning about the musical instruments of China and today we are reading about the Gu-qin and the GuzhengThe Gu-qin Pictured above are two Guqins. Photo courtesy of Cultural ChinaThe Gu-qin (literally “Ancient Musical Instrument”) is a seven string plucked Chinese musical instrument of zither family. In Chinese, "

Believe in Water

My Pool
I love water.  The taste, sound, sight, feel and at the ocean, the smell.
If you can't sleep just close your eyes and see the ocean, listen to the waves crashing on the sand, and smell that salty aroma. I can't think of the ocean without reflecting on the pelican so majestically strolling while keeping an eye alert for fish. For the dolphins swimming in early each morning seeking human contact and finally, the humpbacks frolicking out in the deep. I forget the sharks because mainly we have shark patrols and nets....
I used to live 10 minutes walk to the ocean, the beautiful Pacific, that changes colour with tempist.
Now its an hours drive away and the most serene tranquil place to sit and watch the sun rising on the horizon. It's incredible.

But there's always the pool, to swim laze and relax in. A soothing balm.
I came off duty one night arriving home at 2300hrs, peeled off my uniform full pelt, and took a hurried shower, before racing to the pool. I can't swim having experienced 2 near drownings. But I have a floaty and put that on to swim up and down.
On this particular night not long after soaking I felt something close by touch my body. In the half light I could see a long thin curved shape. "Oh no, a snake!"  I got out as fast as possible.   Via torch light I discovered a long leaf from the overhead palm tree floating on the water. Needless to say, the torch was used from then on to make sure it was safe before climbing in.

Drink lots of water: Your endocrine gland function will improve. By drinking water, more fat is used as fuel, since the liver is free to metabolize stored fat.  Drink a glass instead of reaching for something to eat, it curbs hunger. And when at home on a hot day, saturate your facial and neck skin with it. It's cheaper and better than a moisturiser.
Praise God for His unlimitless love in gifts freely given. Let's not take them for granted

China Glaze High Hopes

There's some quality about the coral family that's so elusive to me. I can see pictures and pictures of coral NOTD's and I always think, "hm, that's pretty," and move to the next picture. But when I actually get a coral on my nails, I immediately want another 10 shades in the same family. I don't know what it is! I've had High Hopes on my desk with the rest of the Up & Away family, but what I REALLY wanted to wear today was Jade is the New Black. But I'm saving my greens for March and St. Patty's day. So I grabbed High Hopes instead. It is the most delicious shade of papaya ever! It's vivid and striking but not in-your-face like a neon. I put this on and it just feels like one of those "drinkable" colors. I immediately wanted a tropical cocktail or a smoothie. This is with 2 coats. I had to thin this one out a bit, the first nail I did got bubbles from being too thick, but after that it applied well. I couldn't get a completely accurate picture, this was the closest, but it's a little more pink in person.

I only have one other coral, Sally Hansen Nasturtium, and it's more orange based than this one. What are some other awesome colors in the coral family I could pick up?

Chinese Musical Instruments: Erhu

Photo courtesy of China Culture.orgThis week we are learning about China as part of our Chinese New Year theme. The Erhu is considered the Queen of Chinese Folk Orchestra and is very popular in China. The two-stringed, vertical fiddle -- China's answer to the western violin -- has a history of more

Happy Pancake Day/Mardi Gras!

I'm not terribly religious now, but was raised Lutheran and we celebrate Mardi Gras with Pancake Day. And it is the best non-Christmas-non-Easter holiday EVER. I LOVE PANCAKES! For dinner I'll be making about 60 pancakes topped with chocolate chips, sprinkles, peanut butter, buttery syrup, marshmallows, cream cheese, bacon, almonds, pecans, jam, bananas, blueberries, strawberries... and I might share. Depends on who's nice to me. It's good to be the master of the griddle :D

Back when RBL had their big sale, I had 0 interest in glitters. Now I can't get enough of 'em. And I really regret not getting Locavore, but I'm too cheap to spring the $26 it would cost to buy and ship it. But for just $4 I made a knock off! I started with 1 coat Pure Ice Strapless, then did 1 coat Sinful Frenzy and topped it off with 2 coats of Sinful Call You Later to get all the gold-y goodness. I remember seeing a Pure Ice color that was similar to Frenzy but had darker purple, and I think that probably would have worked better, so I'll probably try that next time. Otherwise I really like my knock-off, and it might not have the prestige of RBL but it gets the job done.

Also don't forget about my giveaway! I'm really hoping to get to 137 followers so I can giveaway 3 awesome polishes!

Chinese New Year and Spring Festival

Chinese New Year is the longest and most important celebration in the Chinese calendar. This is the year of the Tiger. The Chinese year 4708 began on February 14, 2010.Chinese months are reckoned by the lunar calendar, with each month beginning on the darkest day. New Year festivities traditionally start on the first day of the month and continue until the fifteenth, when the moon is brightest.

Discovering Ansestors

You could be working with, or living close by, someone your related to. My mother constantly plagued me about her cousin's daughter. "She works at your hospital, she's a nurse like you, you must have met her. Her name is Alison." I explained to my mother again, how many nurses worked there! "I don't know her Mum!"
One day. Arriving on Orthopaedic's and the last in the door for hand-over, I was informed I was to work in Emergency. All the other nurses stared silently. Glad it wasn't them. Walking into the unknown, the first nurse I met and became good friends with was Ali. After being together for a couple of weeks I receive another call from my mother. "If your working in Emergency, then you must have met Alison!" Racking my brain, I couldn't think of anyone by that name.
Her father called her also, informing her of me.
She was waiting! and pounced hugging me when I walked in on an afternoon shift.
"Your my cousin!"
It was Ali.... ..and we rejoiced.
Later she gave me old photos of our mutual great grand family....... I have posted one here today.
Life is wonderful. You never know ... the next person you meet ... may be related.
Great Grand parents from Wales.  Ellen and Thomas.
(Doesn't he resemble my grandfather, his son, in the photo below)

72 hours with Suzi Says Feng Shui

I don't really ever wear my polish for more than 36 hours, but I went away this weekend, so what I used Friday morning had to last the whole weekend. I picked Suzi Says Feng Shui. It's an awesome blue, and even after 72 hours I wasn't sick of it. Plus I got tons of compliments from my family, which is always nice. I also got a lot of, "(grabbing my hand) OMG are those your REAL nails?!!" And I am now the master of the humble nod and the, "Yes, YES they are real. Nice, right?"

I was super impressed with the lack of wear. There was not a single chip, not even a teeny tiny one, and you can see here the tip wear was minimal. Very nice, OPI! I'm sure I'm late to the game with this realization, but it was my first time wearing OPI for more than a day. Formula was OPI standard, completely buttery and flawlessly creamy.

"Not What My Hands" By Aaron Keyes

A Time Under The Heavens

The song was written by an old man simply known as 'Pop' and I listened to the words while driving home.
"There is no-one like my Jesus, he is all in all to me, there is no-one like my Jesus...."

Tears escaped the prison storage of my eyes to finally seek release.
Hearing this dear man sing with a simple quitar accomplishment brought back memories long lost, hidden deep within the crevasses of my mind.

God keeps our tears in a bottle, none are wasted. Tears stand for sorrow and with sorrow comes, learning, understanding and hopefully wisdom.

I was eight years old when my maternal grandfather passed away. The telegram explaining this was delivered to my mother. A piece of paper extinguishing a life.
How can a child fathom that? so to me it was untrue!
I often sat at the window and watched far up that long dirt road, waiting for his return.

For many years I kept this Godly man alive in my heart. I remembered the feel of his rough trousers as he crowded us grandchildren on his knee and sang. "Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world."

It took a simple tape for me to cry,... thirty two years later.

Ultimate Sugar High

I love Oreos. And you know what's better than Oreos? Home baked Oreos. I found the best recipe a few months ago and can't stop making it. I flavor the cream filling to be whatever I want and cut whatever shape I want! Today I made plain but tasty vanilla, and tinted it pink to go with the heart shaped cookie. Add a sprinkle of pink sugar to the top and it's the ultimate Valentine's cookie! To avoid over-sampling while they were baking I did my nails with China Glaze Sugar High. Look how cute they are together!

The formula on this wasn't too great, but I managed to get it evened out in 3 coats. I tried to do just 2, but I got bubbles and had to re-do a nail. Also if you apply even a little too much it runs all over your cuticles. Icky. It's a really cute Barbie pink, but if you already have one and you like the formula on it, then you don't need Sugar High.

China Glaze Flyin' High

I'm still wearing MPJ and loving it, though it'll probably come off tomorrow since the 3 Hong Kongs ordered came today! I can't wait to get Jade is the New Black on my nails. Last week I was wearing Flyin' High for 3 days, it's so pretty! I don't have any colors like it, it's a perfect turquoise. Oddly enough, this picture shows the exact bottle color, but my nails were actually a bit greener than the bottle color. I hate when that happens, but I can forgive this color. This is one of the better ones from Up & Away, the formula was great and look at how shiny! This picture was pre-top coat!

A Matter of Ethics

The word ethics is derived from the greek, ethos, which means customs, conduct, habitual use and character.
It involves the use of Beneficence: Doing the greatest good for the largest number of people.
And Non Maleficence: Above all , doing no harm.

An example of this may be the difference between a patient  going fearfully or not, to surgery.
In one instance the nurse may be offhanded and say, "There's nothing to worry about, settle down." While the other nurse, sits at eye level with the patient and says. "There is a wonderful team waiting to take care of you in there. And one person, the Anaesthetist, who watches your heart rate, bloodpressure, respirations and the oxygen in your blood supply at all times. He is ready to act quickly, very quickly,  should there be any deviations.
Can you see in your mind.... the wonderful help you are going have? and,  I'll be here waiting to look after you when you get back"

Anxiety can be more of a problem than the actual physical compaint. With anxiety further complications may occur. So its best to aleviate the symptoms and calm the patient.
This is assurance. Given in the act of kind words acting as a healing balm to sooth the soul.
"As for you, Brothers (NURSES), do not grow weary in doing good."
2 Thessalonians 3:13
Love is patient, Love is kind.

My New #1

I know there was quite the debate going on about OPI My Private Jet. I heard that OPI did away with the original formula, a holo, and did just a sparkly thing. I've never really been that in to holos, but in the last month I felt like I just needed to have one, so I went all out. I tracked down a holo version on stupid Ebay, where the seller, after realizing she had a HTF polish, upped the price by a lot. But it was the only way to be sure I'd get the holo. I've heard a few people recently ordered MPJ from Trans Design and got lucky by getting a good bottle, but I didn't chance it. Well, it was totally worth it. And I am in LOVE with holos. I'm already plotting getting the entire China Glaze OMG collection, plus some Kaleidoscope's and some OPI DS's.

Application was flawless! I did 2 coats of WnW Black first, so I only needed 1 coat of MPJ, no need to waste the pretty! I think I'll be wearing this until it chips so terribly that I can't stand it anymore.

C-O-L-T-S!!!

For the Super Bowl I'm wearing Claire's Chunky Blue! I'm still disappointed that it couldn't be the Vikings, but my favorite quarterback is definitely Peyton Manning! Chunky Blue has just made my top 10. It has a wonderful blue jelly base, but with 2 coats there's enough coverage so there's no VNL. There's a heavy amount of silver and deep blue glitter and large silver hexagons that hide in the base. I love that they're not right in your face, like they're really a part of the polish and not just sitting on top like a glitter top coat. I think with 3 coats you would be able to have some hexagons buried deep underneath, but even with 2 coats you get this amazing depth from the polish. I also bought Chunky Green, which I haven't had a chance to wear yet but I'm sure I will this week. I remember it also came in Chunky Silver, Gold and Purple, and I'm going to go back and get them all! The purple wasn't very purple but I think I can add some blue until I get the color I want. The application on this was really good too, and I was really pleased with the randomness of the glitter distribution. This polish is a big winner!

This picture shows the true color:

And this one shows the awesome chunky glitter goodness:

Next day: This polish came off in sheets. Ugh. I'm pretty pissed. I've only had it on 24 hours, and even though I was sitting in a jacuzzi for an hour, I've never had peeling this bad. I wore this polish with CND Sticky and Seche Vite for top coat, and I use my jacuzzi 2-3 times a week and I've never had this happen. Yuck. I think next time I'll time this so I don't wear it when I use the jacuzzi, because I do love it otherwise.

ETA: Removal was a nightmare... I've been using the foil method for glitters for a long time, and while some need a little bit more time than others, removal has never been an issue. I let Chunky Blue sit for 5 minutes, and while all the blue came off, it left about half of the hexagons behind on my nail every time. And they had to be scrubbed off. And they got everywhere... I definitely need to spend the $2 to get the angry beaver tub for the next time I wear these. Yes, despite all the issues I had, I still love it... I need help lol.

Understanding Others

A Picture tells a thousand words, and if you wish to understand others, look at what they paint or draw. Working in Mental Health I encouraged the patients to paint. It wasn't an easy task as suspicion rises.
So I set up a huge table with paints, paper and water and started doing a painting myself. Gradually they came. First they watched and then brushes were sort as they commenced to paint their feelings.
"That's wonderful!" I'd encourage....can you tell me about it. Some gave a great story, others nothing. Recently my little granddaughter has closed off and isolated. Realising there was more to the heart of the matter I suggested we paint. She landscaped a field with flowers and a house. No people just isolation. So I understood this is how she is feeling. A little lost, with only nature as her friends. We talked about it. I shared parts of my childhod and gave her lots of love. Going home she hugged me and said, "I love you Nanni."
Below is one of my own paintings. A house standing with trees all around (trees depict people). The front gate is open with stairs to walk up and enter in (if you take the effort to approach me, you will be welcomed). Note the red on the outside bush, (my heart is outside myself, it is with others).
I called my painting Kirra, Emanuel...... Kirra after my eldest granddaughter and Emanuel  because God is with us.   So much can be learned from paintings.

Comfort so Close

When tears are dry behind my eyes
and all within my spirit cries,
PLEASE PRAY FOR ME
When life is like a leaning tower
and I can hardy live the hour,
PLEASE PRAY FOR ME.
When you are also weary weak
and can no longer reach your peak
I'LL PRAY FOR YOU
When the problems of this life are many
and comfort cost an earthy penny
I'LL PRAY FOR YOU

Our Father in Heaven is as close as a prayer
Omnipresent, never sleeping, watchfully there.

On Angels wings he lifts us up high
Close to His heart, we comforting lie.

In His arms of love He whispers our name
Reassuring His presence, always the same.

Softly and tenderly, secure in His care
Lean on Him only..........The Fairest,
                              ....SO RARE........

ON CHRIST THE SOLID ROCK I STAND.

Rockin' It!

Before the Superbowl on Sunday I'm going to a Guitar Hero pre-party, and since I've hardly played since the semester started, I've been brushing up on my skillz. I'm pretty awesome lol. Since it's purple week at MUA and I had the perfect untried purple with the perfect name, I tried it out! I'm wearing Essence Rock It, Baby! and it is divine. The color is a true purple, deeper than what my pictures show, and the shimmer in it is a little blue and a little red, which comes out in bright lights, but in dimmer lights they mix together so it just looks purple. Love it! For an accent I wore Rock n Roll, another perfect name for my theme! It has teeny silver glitter mixed with slightly bigger pieces, so pretty! The purple Essence is from their Color and Go collection and it comes in a smaller bottle. I'm always leery of these things, because our American versions of quick dry (Sally Hansen Insta Dri) really SUCK! I only bought one, and while I like some of the new colors, I'm reluctant to buy them... but this little Essence is amazing. It has a wide brush, but it's more like OPI's Pro-Wide, and while it did dry REALLY fast on my nails, there was still plenty of time for me to swipe it on evenly. And it was really easy to work with on top of all that! I wish I could get these nearby!

Words can Hurt

People can be cruel by the things they say. Especially if they turn on you when you believe you have just done something very special for them. Its not always what we say but how we say it. Thinking before the words burst forth, should be considered.  No wonder someone once said, God gave us two eyes to see, two ears to listen and one mouth to speak.
My wonderful sister Janiece has a note attached to her fridge. "If its not nice, don't say it."
Which reminds me of the fruits of the spirit.
Galations 5: 22-23.
But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such, there is no law.
Beautiful isn't it.......

My Needs OR My Wants....what is important?

Could anyone NOT love the 23 Psalm?

It gives such re-assurance in every line. Reading from the ‘New Living Translation’ we are told that, The Lord, leads us, He guides us, He gives us rest, He is with us in our darkest hour, He sends Angels to keep guard over us and He has Eternity prepared and waiting for us as our final destination.

Verse 6 says, “ Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me.”
I prefer the King James version of, “Surely Goodness and Mercy will follow me all the days of my life.”

Here I picture Goodness and Mercy as the names of two Angels…..they follow behind me wherever I go.

Note: They are not in front or at the side. They don’t guide or direct where I should go. God didn’t make robots, He allows free choices. Yet when I stumble and fall, Goodness and Mercy step forward and lift me up……..holding me steady until I am ready to continue on.

Not a word is said.
No condemnation, no reproof, or chiding, just loving understanding.
I am allowed to think for myself. To consider what I have done or failed to do right.

Reading the 23rd Psalm I am told it all………
The Lord surely is my Sheppard and I shall not want (for anything)…..Amen.

More Water Marbling

Here's attempt #2 at water marbling! I used Essie Mint Candy Apple, OPI Sapphire in the Snow and Dating a Royal. This time it came out really watery. I think it was maybe the polish combo that did it? Or maybe I used too much polish this time? Last time I used 1 drop of each and swirled, this time I was using 3 drops MCA to start, then 2 Sapphire because I wanted more purple and just 1 drop DaR for a little blue. On my index finger the polish started sliding down the sides and pooling on the tape around my cuticles, making the swirls I had so carefully made just a blob of color. It's pretty, but not what I made. All the designs came out really undefined, unlike with attempt #1. I still like how it turned out! I'm still to afraid to attempt my right hand, I'm way to clumsy, so I took this off to wear something glittery!

Groundhog Day (February 2nd)

February 2 is a sacred day.Punxsutawney Phil is the world's smallest and furriest weather forecaster and the 2nd of February is his day! On Groundhog Day, it is said that if the groundhog sees his shadow, there will be six more weeks of bad weather, and if he doesn't, that spring will be here soon. The legend of Groundhog Day is based on an old Scottish couplet: "If Candlemas Day is bright and
