BEWARE of a Root of Bitterness in Your Life.

Photo of a Twin Boab Tree taken by Raymond Lindsey, outback Australia.

Just as the roots of a tree bury deep within the ground.

So do the Roots of Bitterness, bury deep within your heart.

Those Roots are revealed in Jealousy, Unrighteous Anger, Revenge and Hatred.

A Root of Bitterness causes havoc in a believers life. They are plagued constantly by their own poisonous thoughts.

In fact that person, although they may claim to be a Christian, are not.

And this is what the Word of God says about it.

"But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth.  Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.  For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice."

James 3:14-16

Results of Bitterness
Just as we only have ourselves to blame for becoming bitter, we only have ourselves to blame for the consequences. Once we step upon the road of bitterness, we can only expect it to lead to evil. The destination of bitterness is hatred, cruelty, revenge, selfpity, hypocrisy, jealousy, competition, and confusion. In the end, a life of sin will not only be lived, but justified. James says it so clearly, "Where there is bitter envying and strife, there is confusion and every evil work." Bitterness is a great tool Satan uses to bring about the destruction of a believer's spiritual life and testimony.

What is amazing is everyone recognizes the problem except the one who is bitter! Bitterness blinds them from the truth. The only pleasure a bitter person has is to enlist others in their bitterness. Thus, not only does a bitter person lose their friends, but they are unable to make other friends. (See Proverbs 14:10.)

Bitterness leaves them standing alone.

Never feel justified by your bitterness.
(The only justifiable anger, is righteous anger, like defending the helpless.)

Ask God to fill you to overflowing with the  fruits of His spirit.

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Galations 5:22-23

Old Man Emu

Every time I look at my photo of Ray and our little dog Monty with the Emu I have to laugh.

We were staying in an outback Caravan Park where an emu roamed.
I thought it belonged to the owners, so told Ray we needed to keep an eye out that Monty didn't take after it.
Ray isn't used to the antics of emu's and let Monty off his lead.
Immediately our little dog took off, chasing the big bird.
Around a shed they raced, out of sight while Ray and I watched, horrified that we'd be asked to leave the park.
Next thing Monty comes running for his life, with the tables turned....
The emu was chasing him at full speed.
Monty ran behind a stunned Ray and myself, diving under the caravan for cover..
Gosh we laughed!!

I went off to apologise to the Park owners.
"Oh, he doesn't belong to us," they reassured.
"And don't feed the thing or he'll be knocking on your door day and night."
Well, it was too late. Ray had already fed it and now we knew who'd been waking us up!

Poor Monty, he kept well away from that big eyed emu in future...
There is was no way, he could out run one of them!

Devils Marbles (Karlu Karlu)

Known by the Aboriginals as Karlu Karlu, these granite boulders are an impressive sight.
Located in outback Australia driving from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs they are scattered across a wide shallow valley.
They balance precariously on the top of one another in seemingless disarrangement.
My husband Ray appears to hold them up between him (don't be fooled)....LOL
It's difficult to see, but he's wearing a veiled hat to keep the annoying bush flies at bay.

Caravans park overnight for tourists to capture the landscapes at sunrise and sunset.

The environment at Devils Marbles provides shelter to a diverse range of wild life.
The boulders are a secure breeding ground for the Fairy Martins and Zebra finches as well as many breeds of lizards.

Here's two cheeky little fellows.

SACRED "Underground" SUNDAY

FARAWAY.......In an underground City called Coober Pedy people worship in a different world.
This City sits on the edge of The Stuart Ranges in the State of South Australia.

OPALS MINING abounds here and for that reason care needs to be taken.
Beautiful Opals of all different colours and size may be found.
The name Coober Pedy is Aboriginal and means "white man in hole."
Which is applicable when you realise 80% of the townfolk live in hand cutout dwellings underground.
Temperatures of extreme heat in summer and penetrating cold in winter, makes life beneath the surface more bearable..

This is the outside visable entrance to one of the churches.

The interior of two (2) of the churches show how they have been hewn out of the rock.

Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
If I ascend into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me" (Psalms 139:7-10).

Going to Church on Sunday....
