Bless the Lord

Psalm 103

"Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name."
I love you Lord, and I thank and praise you for all our many blessings.

White cheeked honey eater on a eucalyptus tree
I am reminded how God gives us everything and much of that, we take for granted.

Galah
The wide variety of birds and their different coloured plumage.
Are a joy to the eye and ear.

King parrot.
They help keep the insects under control.

Blue winged kookaburra
Known as the bush clock, you can reply on them to awaken you with their laughter at the same time every morning.
They are one bird welcome in the garden as they eat the snakes.
If they laugh in the middle of the day it means a change in the weather.

 Ring neck parrot
A Sweet intruder, and a joy to behold.

Water hen
Walks daintily across the lillypads seeking a feed.

The wedged tail eagle.
Stands three feet tall and has a wing span of up to eight feet wide.
This all seeing majestic wonder reminds me of our God.
He defends his territory by soaring high above the earth.
And keeps an ever vigilant watch.

"But those who wait upon the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."
Isaiah 40:31

Bless the Lord, oh my soul for thou art mighty in all the earth.

SOME FROG....Spiritual Sundays

And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind."
And it was so. God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds.
 (Genesis 1:20-25)

Giant Cane Toad

A conservation group captured a giant cane toad in the Australian city of Darwin.
The beast weighed 840 grams (1.8 pounds) and measured 20.5 cm (8 inches).
The toad was captured as part of a publicity-seeking round up of the amphibian which is considered a problematic invasive species in Australia.
The poisonous toad has wreaked ecological havoc on native species and killed pets and livestock.
Introduced from Hawaii in 1935 at the urging of sugar cane growers in Queensland who were suffering from an infestation of crop-damaging beetles, the cane road rapidly established itself as one of the most costly alien invasive species in the history of Australia. Not only did the cane toads fail to control the beetle outbreak -- they couldn't jump high enough to eat the insects -- they feasted on Australia's rare and endemic birds, reptiles, amphibians, and small mammals.

The Good News:
Cane Toads have been used as an implement to inform people of environmental problems.
And, we all need to be aware and understand this important issue.

Devils Marbles (Karlu Karlu)

Known by the Aboriginals as Karlu Karlu, these granite boulders are an impressive sight.
Located in outback Australia driving from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs they are scattered across a wide shallow valley.
They balance precariously on the top of one another in seemingless disarrangement.
My husband Ray appears to hold them up between him (don't be fooled)....LOL
It's difficult to see, but he's wearing a veiled hat to keep the annoying bush flies at bay.

Caravans park overnight for tourists to capture the landscapes at sunrise and sunset.

The environment at Devils Marbles provides shelter to a diverse range of wild life.
The boulders are a secure breeding ground for the Fairy Martins and Zebra finches as well as many breeds of lizards.

Here's two cheeky little fellows.
Psalms 84:1 "How lovely is they dwelling place.
Oh Lord of Heavens Armies."
