Last month (August 22), the boys began working on their “All About Me” book and this month they continued working on them with our Family unit study.

Week in Review: Holy Week (week 27)

This week was spent on learning about the first Easter (Holy week) as we read books on the last days of Jesus.  We have spent time celebrating Advent every December that we feel that is it equally important to recognize God’s love for us that he would sacrifice his only son Jesus to die for our sins.

We began our week by talking about why Easter is more than a holiday.  We talked about Passover

A Snow day for my boys

It is no surprise that we rarely see snow. The cartoon of the year without a Santa Claus comes to mind (especially the part about the Miser brothers who control different parts of the countries’ weather). A boy in Somber town wishes for snow and asks Mrs. Claus that if he helps her find the baby reindeer, can she make it snow in his town.Well today we felt like Somber town on a Christmas morning.
