Week in Review: “Rowing” with Jesse Bear

Finally we much delay due to our recent move, we were able to resume our homeschooling two weeks ago towards to end of October.  To celebrate, we rowed our first book this year.  

Our first choice for BFIAR was “Jesse Bear Jesse Bear, what will you wear? by Nancy White Carlstrom. In the book, Jesse Bear is excited about his day as he wakes up, gets dressed,  plays outside, eats, takes a bubble

Before Five in a Row: Jesse Bear and clothing printable

Two years ago, I made a bear and clothing to teach my youngest son about the clothing we wear during the seasons.  He loved it so much we added our Jesse bear to our Calendar Chart. 



This year our bear will be used when we read the book “Jesse Bear, what will you wear?” as part of our Before Five in a Row curriculum.  I thought since so many of my friends and fellow readers are using Before

How we plan to “row” our homeschool year

I mentioned in our recent post on our curriculum that we will be using Before Five in a Row with our youngest son.  There are about 24 books that are mentioned in the BFIAR book (a few are out of print and difficult to get).  I looked into what our public library system has and found out they have all titles but four.  We have about 5 books in our own home that I had purchased through the years
