Singapore Nightlife - Clarke Quay Riverside

One of the main activities for individuals exploring the city outside of their Singapore trip is the nightlife. And while it is true that the various Singapore hotels throughout the city will offer up their own choice of venues, the intrepid adventurer will discover far more on their own as long as they are willing to get out beyond the recommended places.

One of these is the Singapore River Clark Quay area. Originally a commerce area along the banks of the river, it is now a maze of restaurants, retail stores, and recreational outlets with plenty of opportunities for individuals willing to get out beyond their Singapore hotels. Some of the best restaurants in the city are located in Clarke Quay, and although hotels offer their own restaurants, for a true cultural experience you have to head down to the river.
If you are into jazz bars then Harry's at Boat Quay should be one of the first stops after you leave your Singapore hotel. There is also a phenomenal bar operating as an extension of The Forbidden City restaurant, known as the Bamboo Bar - but the only way you will experience it is if you leave the hotels of the main city behind.

If you are into Italian food you can visit the Borgata Trattoria Osteria, or you can hit up the LUNAR Asian Fusion Bar, which is considered the ultimate live performance venue of Singapore. Regardless of your chosen preferences, the Clarke Quay Riverside is sure to please anytime after dark.
